Do you have questions for us? Check out our Frequently Asked Questions below!

How far in advance can I book transportation?

To ensure we will have a vehicle available when you need it, the farther in advance of your travel date that you can book, the better.  A&T Transportation strives to accommodate even same-day, last-minute reservations when possible.  Call when you’re ready to book, and we will do everything possible to meet your needs.

What methods of payment are accepted?

  1. Cash and Credit Card – AMEX, Visa, MasterCard, Discover & Cash App
  2. Checks are accepted with a valid and matching ID.

Do you allow additional riders to accompany me on the transport vehicle?

Yes, there is a $10 flat fee for each additional passenger.

Can you transport my power chair or motorized scooter?

Yes, we customize our transports to meet your needs.

Can you transport clients with oxygen?

Yes, but clients must supply their own oxygen and peripheral devices during the transport as we do not provide or administer oxygen.

What is your No-show and cancellation policy?

Our standard cancellation policy is 24 hours. If for any reason something comes up and you’re not able to keep your transportation appointment, please let us know at least 24 hours in advance. Otherwise, the cost of a one way pick up fee will be applied to your account. This policy helps us keep our operating costs as low as possible for all of our clients.

Will my information be shared with others?

No. We respect and observe patient and family privacy. There will be instances where drivers will, by default, gather pertinent information about your condition. This information is required to properly complete safe transport. A&T Transportation takes Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) compliance seriously and mandates that all employees receive training on the proper handling of Protected Health Information.

Do you accept insurance?

No. We bill our clients directly.  Medicare does not cover wheelchair van transportation under any circumstances.  Since most private insurance companies do not cover non emergency transportation, we require payment in the form of cash, check or credit card at the completion of transportation services.  We always encourage clients to call their insurance company to ask about reimbursement for travel expenses.  We will always provide you with receipts for your out-of-pocket expenses.

I have an outpatient surgery which requires me to have an escort/chaperone. Do you provide this service?

Yes.  Patients who have had anesthesia cannot leave a medical facility without an escort. Friends or relatives may not be available. Other patients value their privacy and prefer not to disclose their medical information to family and friends.  We can arrange for patients to be accompanied, to their home or hotel following outpatient medical procedures, and ensure that they have what they need for a safe and comfortable recovery.
